The Florida Gators are National champions after coming back from a 12 point second half deficit. The Gators went on to secure a shocking 65 - 63 win over Houston. This is Florida’s third championship since 2006.
Uconn zips past S. Carolina for NCAAW title

The UConn Huskies dominated South Carolina on Sunday and went on to win its 12th overall NCAA title and first since 2016. The Huskies won 82 - 59, and their big three, Paige Bueckers, Sarah Strong and Azzi Fudd combined for 65 points. The trio outscored South Carolina’s game total!
Geno Auriemma is now the oldest coach to win a Division I basketball title, women's or men's.
USC’s JuJu Watkins wins Wooden Award

JuJu was named the winner of the 2025 Wooden Award on Saturday, earning the honor given to the most outstanding player in women's basketball. The sophomore beat out several big names such as Paige Bueckers of UConn, Lauren Betts of UCLA, Hannah Hidalgo of Notre Dame and Madison Booker of Texas. Before her season ending ACL injury she averaged 23.9 points per game and finished fourth in the nation in scoring.
Cooper Flagg becomes fourth freshman to win mens Wooden Award

Cooper Flagg beat out Auburn’s Johni Broome, Florida’s Walter Clayton Jr., Alabama’s Mark Sears and Purdue’s Braden Smith, and became the fourth freshman to win the mens Wooden Award. Flagg had a great year, also winning both the ACC Player of the Year and Rookie of the Year. He is the projected No. 1 pick in June’s NBA draft.
